It was on a monitor that I no longer have. It was calibrated right out of the box at our apple reseller.

I am def. overdue for a monitor calibration for the MBP though.

How was it calibrated, unless it was calibrated using actual hardware (such as gretag macbeth) your results aren't really reliable.

They're only a couple hundred bucks, but well worth the assurance that you're looking at your photos properly.

They used actual hardware for it. It's been a few years so I don't remember the specifics but macbeth sounds familiar.

I think that I will get the MBP monitor done this week as I am put up with a bum knee again.

Thanks for the info.

Ryan, I may be off the mark but it sounds like you had it calibrated once?
Colours shift... I calibrate mine once a week & colour-nazis I know do it every time they edit/print.

I am with Chad on this one Asuka is about the best bang for the buck.

If you don't want to design the books let me know and I can dig up the website of the designer I use.

Judging by the date of your last message Tom you have done these already, thought I would post anyway.

Take Care

yeah you should be calibrating your monitor regulary, and if it's an apple screen they tend to make them way to bright, set the brightness to like 75%

i'm about to print my short book next week
there is a color profiler for the printer they use somewhere on the web. so that will give you a more accurate idea of what it will look like
