I know it is very basic, but I wanted a website that was presentable of my work. I know I should invest in someone to build a site for me, and I will when I get my photos. anyways, what do you guys think?

I like a lot of your shots man. Only nitpick is that I'd like to see 2 sets, one for portraits, the other for action. Makes it a lot easier for the clients as well.

Cheers.

a lot of people will recognize the free LR template gallery, and it may not reflect well on your work to just be using that. if you are just starting out with it, it works.

if you are really stuck on keeping it free check out www.lightroomgalleries.com/index.php use LR to make a whole website. free.
i couldn't figure out my way though it, but you might have a better grasp on how it'd work

thanks guys. and yeah i deffinitly can see how the simple LR gallery can look bad. do you have any suggestions on any sweet portfolio companies you've had any experience with? i'm not exactly trying to break the bank either, how much does this stuff usually cost?

To cut to the chase - it costs a lot to get a custom website built for you. Unless you have friends who are in web design and are willing to work for next to nothing - although I think that would be a touchy subject considering you don't want to sell your photos for next to nothing.

From what I understand there are plenty of templates online that you can use, but many come with a price.

A friend of mine just used showitfast.com, and it seems like it was a pretty good deal. (not sure on exact cost though)
