forget the lighting, the compo is killing this. Also the blue channel has so pretty funky saturation going on. I'd look for another angle/interesting way to frame the shot - it's not easy when you're shooting park, but there's got to be some interesting lines or something in there.
yeah i feel you with the comp. i was batteling intense sun, a filmer, and a busy park
i also liked the curvey ledge. i tried to use it but it was blocking too much of the rail/ landing.
there was a fence behind me i could have climbed to get a better angle, but it was just for fun and the fence looked a little precarious to try to balance on. if i ever went back for something more serious i would likely get up there.
any other ideas about and angle for this one based on what you can see?
i havent got a fish which is shit cause it would open up a lot of opportunities.

The blue shirt/hat and rail is a cool combo, and then the sky kinda blows it away with too much blue. you're also definitely right about the busy background. maybe you could solve both problems by shooting down from a higher angle or something, which would give you the clean background and isolate the smaller amount of blue.
I agree with Thomas about the blue shirt/hat and rail combo and the blue sky. So what about a sunset shot facing west? It may get you away from the busy background (I'm not entirely sure as I don't know the local) and it would retain the curved ledge.
