First time shooting Superpipe and this was shot just before dusk. Mad respect for guys that shoot these type of images well. Contest shooting is rough and hanging out on an icy pipe fighting a crowd of 14,000 is the suck even in the media pen. This run earned her 2nd spot on the podium. Learned quite a bit after editing he images I shot and look forward to getting another crack at it. Impressive athletes for sure.

FYI: I know the image needs a slight tweak to straighten it out. Deal with it.

fix the horizon

since you're getting logos in there it could be a good shot for sponsors if you had them a bit more in focus. Isolating the rider above the starting gate inbetween trees would be banger

I agree with ya. Had to shoot wide open @ 2.8 so focus was one or the other. Def wish I could have dropped down a tad to bring her out into the clear sky but if I could predict where and how high she was gonna boost I would have won the lotto by now and would not be posting here. Like I said, the edit on these was a real learning experience as far as how to approach this scenario next time. There's a series up on the blog with no shortage of mediocrity.
