I'd go with a few flashes.
But only if you already own something prime-ish (35 or 50).

This really is a "how long is a piece of string" question
What gear do you currently have ?
What do you want to be able to achieve ?

I own a fish and i love it, but i would say that i get more use out of my flashes.
And a fish not the most flexible of lenses, i definitely have lenses in my kit that i use more than it.
If you already own a handful of flashes (and triggers??) then maybe a fish isn't a bad idea

flashes are more versatile then a fish. i say buy a flash and triggers if you dont have some like Ben said.

definitely flashes and triggers, fish is awesome but you will use the flashes for a much wider range of situations

I have 1 lens, and 1 flash. But im thinking ill go with a second flash. Just wanted to make sure which one would be more effective, and give a different look in my photos.
