Monitors 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I know this thread was on WaW but I can't remember what monitors were recommended. I am hoping to pick up a new monitor today and would like to know which ones people prefer. It is pretty annoying trying to edit photos on a 15" CRT. Any suggetions or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I got a 30" Dell a while ago and have never regretted it, It's calibrated monthly with a spyder I haven't had any problems with printing and colours. You really grow to appreciate the screen real estate too!

Technically not the greatest panel in the world but alot cheaper than an Eizo or similar.

The new Dell's are good.
Used a 23" (2309) before it was stolen and it was way more color correct than my MBP.
Spyderd it every 2 weeks.
The Ultrasharps seem to be pretty darn good as well.

I've got one of the past generation Apple 23" displays which I love, matte screen, and the color accuracy is very good.......

I've heard good things about some of the Dells as well, but I don't know much about them as I haven't bought a Dell in probably 6 years.

I think whatever Monitor you end up getting you really need to invest in a calibration tool as well, without that it doesn't matter what panel you get, you'll be taking pot shots with colour.

I ended up getting the Samsung SyncMaster 943SWX 18.5 screen. I am pretty sure that my graphics card needs to be upgraded as the colours aren't that great and I can't adjust the contrast properly. I am starting to get to the point that it would just be more cost affective to get a new computer. Now that is a whole new chapter.
