Action Sports Cartel

So I've been messing around with the 5d and the Flex TT5 to see how far you can push the HyperSync function. I was surprised that in the studio I was getting it to sync at 1/800th full frame with my 7b, but really shocked when it actually was doing the same in the field. It made this shoot I did in the desert way easier this past weekend. If the PW was triggering the flash it was syncing. I've also had luck with the AB 800s at 1/640. I haven't done any down and dirty tests with it to see if I am losing much flash power or what the range is like, but I'm optimistic for the first time in while when it comes to PWs. Anybody know if other people are getting these sync speeds with current firmware? tk

Is this that new radio slave that you have to set up on your computer for each flash that you want to use it with? And to set it up is almost a trial and error? Or is this something else entirely?

You use the computer to change some settings on the PW, and tweaking the hypersync is one of those. I have found that getting faster durations isn't related to the flashes as much as the camera. So yeah camera specific, not flash specific.
