Just wondering if anyone has opinions on Dynalite's UNI 400 Jrg monohead with their Jackrabbit II battery pack (as part of a small, convenient location kit)?

Here are my thoughts...

Pros:
- small, easy to bring on loc.
- decent power (400w/s)
- rugged (I've heard)
- affordable
- no need for a large battery pack
- can run DC (with Jackrabbit), or AC (for indoors)

Cons:
- long-ish duration (1/675 sec. at 1/1, 1/1100 at 1/2)
- not TONS of power

Anyway, I was thinking getting a set-up to use in conjunction with my speedlights for any location work (action and non-action). Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

Why not get the Elinchrom Quadra's with the A-heads for fast flash duration and a small package?

While I havent used either set... everyone is blowing a load of the Quadras and probably for a good reason. The faster duration should be enough to sell you.

Thanks Mike. I just checked it out, and it seems like a great option. A little more expensive, but the build quality, size, and flash duration are definitely worth it. Hopefully I'll be picking-up a set shortly!

Thanks brother.
