Hi, I have finally got a set of pocket wizards and learning how to use off camera flash, I have one 580 ex II that was given to me as a present and i'm looking to buy some more speedlights. Any advice on what to buy?????

I shoot snowbaording and skating, more urban jibing etc.

my gear: Canon 1D mkIII
Canon 15mm fisheye
Canon 50mm f1.8
Canon 580 ex II speedlight

also any other equipment advice would awesome??
I was looking at buyin a couple of Vivitar 285's
also Tripods or lightstands?? what's your preference??

70-200mm pays for itself hundreds of times over.

What Rupert said.

As for flashes, I prefer the older Nikon flashes (i.e. SB-24, SB-25, SB-26) to 285's. They recharge faster, have more adjustment range and you can zoom them in further.

Agreed on the 70-200. If not the f2.8, the f4 is an awesome lens for a much lower price. I absolutely love mine.

You're heading in the right direction, though. 285HV + light stand + umbrella mount + umbrella and you've got a good, versatile, cheap setup.

I am already definately in the market for a 70-200, its just a matter of choosing between the 2.8 or the 4.
