Action Sports Cartel

Anyone ever used one of these? A friend gave one to me because it was semi-broken and I managed to get it working. I mickey-moused a cable system to sync it to a skyport, but she didn't have the camera-mount bracket, so any idea how to attach it to a lightstand or tripod? I'm thinking maybe just ball-bungie and go super-ghetto with it.

I'm currently running Vivitar 285HV's, is this Metz even worth carrying? The 285 is rated GN 140, the Metz is 150. I haven't tested it much, but it's only like a stop or two brighter.. I'm just stoked I got it to fire with a remote!

Also, anyone selling skyport receivers??

It's fully useless at full power 1/300th flash duration

at 1/2 power it jumps up to about 1/1000th.

so your GN is actually worse than your 285 since you have to use it at 1/2 power or less

ooh solid point, unless I'm shooting someone standing still at night and need a lot of flashes...

or maybe to light up a background or something.

I have 3 45's and love 'em. (CL-4's though. On the CL-1 going M1/1 is the only option.)
I know eBay sells fake brackets.
