I have business policy threw Travelers insurance that not only covers my equipment, but also covers liability, rental cars, and a whole lot of other stuff.

One VERY IMPORTANT thing if you travel internationally is to make sure that your gear is not just covered off site, but also out of the country as well.

Also be sure to check out what happens if your gear get's damaged during transportation.
My camera got damaged during an intercontinental flight to London, and all the insurance company gave me was a letter telling me it was stupid not to take your camera with you as hand luggage. Uhh, yeah, sure.

I'm on proper insurance now.

I've been pretty interested in this subject recently. Stoked to see it on here. I'm excited to do more research on these companies.

Like Grant said Photo Business policies do more than just cover your gear. Liability, Proof of Insurance (required when getting permits for shoots), Workman's Comp etc... don't expect renter's or homeowner's to cover you if you are making any money from your gear. I've heard of several cases where claims have been declined because the insurance agency did a quick internet search.

I have a Traveler's Policy through TrustCo in SLC. I work with Jon Dunn and his email is -- jond@trustcoinc.com (I've recommended Seo and others to the same aganet and we've all been happy).

Happy to answer any other questions if people have them.
